I studied Physics/Applied Math (Astronomy) but eventually gave up on the idea of becoming a real scientist. Got my first real job on a science centre in Portugal, where for 6 years I discovered, developed and matured my skills in visual science comunication. At the moment I work at ESO's Education and Public Outreach Department in Munich.
ESO is an international organization which builds the world's most advanced telescopes and I'm part of the latter steps of the chain, in a group which tries to deliver to the public the extraordinary science here developed in the exciting and inspiring manner it deserves.
My tools of choice are Maxon's Cinema 4D, Adobe's Photoshop and After Effects and a Wacom Intuos 3.
